Loading produced the Minecraft drink set in conjunction with Microsoft and Mojang using 81 shot glasses and 162 measures of alcohol. Billed as a "fan piece" the alcohol set was created to showcase just what Loading can come up with.

The shots were made from Kahlua, Baileys, Midori, Blue Curacao and mixers such as rum, pineapple juice and Sambuca. unsecured loans

Loading's owner James Dance will recreate the Minecraft drink if someone is willing to cover the cost of all the booze, said to be around £162.

"We thought it was a great way for us to celebrate the release of Minecraft on the Xbox 360 and show we're not just about gaming cocktails in the bad credit loans conventional sense," Dance told MCV.
Loading has previously produced the Deus Ex on the Beach cocktail.

Robert Doisneau's 100th Birthday - Google

The photo collage on search giant Google's home page today celebrates the 100th birth anniversary of French photographer Robert Doisneau.

Doisneau, alongwith Cartier-Bresson is known to have lead the way towards a new path in photojournalism. One of the four photos in the collage is his most famous unsecured loans photograph Le baiser de l'hotel de ville (Kiss by the Hotel de Ville) shot in 1950 in Paris.

Another photograph on the doodle is titled Le Remorqueur du Champ de Mars (Tug on the Champ de Mars). The 1943 image shows two children playing at Champ de Mars near the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Another is the image of a woman (representing the anonymous reader) bad credit loans at the 19th-century French writer Guy de Maupassant's monument at Parc Monceau, Paris. The fourth photograph is Le Chien a Roulettes (Dog on Wheels) from 1977.

Widely acclaimed for his ironic images as well as those that depicted juxtapositions, Doisneau's photographs mingled social classes, and eccentrics in contemporary Paris streets and cafes. Doisneau lost his parents in childhood. His father died during World War I when he was only four, his mother too died some three years later. He was raised by his aunt.

He used his skills to forge identification papers and passports. During this time he photographed the Battle of Paris. After the war he worked for Life magazine and he also worked with Paris Vogue doing fashion and high-class photography. He won the Prix Kodak in 1947.

GAME Group removes itself from London Stock Exchange

Board sees 'no equity value left in the Group'.

game 01 -
GAME has requested to be removed from the London Stock Exchange with effect from 7:30am today.
The news comes after "ongoing and regular discussions between GAME and its lending banks and between its lending banks and a potential third party provider of finance to the business".
"The Board now considers itself to be unable to assess the business's financial position, and is of the opinion that there is no equity value left in the Group," explained a unsecured loan statement released today. "Therefore the Company has requested that the listing of its securities on the Main Market of London Stock Exchange plc be suspended from trading with effect from 7:30am today.
"The Company will provide a further update in due course."
It now looks likely that GAME will go into voluntary administration in order to save some of its assets.
According to MCV, GAME's stores will be reassessed and will likely mean the end of gamestation, other than rare stores which are performing well.
"If everyone commits it's great news," MCV was told by a source close to the negotiations. "A GAME with 300+ stores is what we'll all get, which is basically where bad credit loans they should have been three years ago during the peak. There's no need for two, or even three, stores in the same town or city."

Comic zeal

The iPad should technically be perfect for comics. The large screen, the swipe gestures and the pinch-to-zoom all make digital comics that much better than it has before. But no one comic reader has gotten it completely right.

Here are the contenders for comic readers. There's the Comixology unsecured loans and Marvel's reader, the latter of which is just Comixology, but locked in to only Marvel's own comics. These are good if you want to read 500ish Marvel comics, or some more indie comics on Comixology, but what if you get your comics elsewhere and want to import them? Then you need Comic Zeal or Comic Reader.

Both these apps supports iTunes file sharing, which is basically file transfer—in iTunes—directly to the app. That part works fine. Once the comics get on the pad, that's when the experience splits.

Best iPad Comic Reader: Comic Zeal vs. Comic Reader Mobi

Comic Reader Mobi

It's $15, but comes as a universal app (you get the iPhone version for free, essentially), and has more features than Comic Zeal. File support includes ZIP, RAR, CBR, CBZ and PDF, which are the common container formats comics come in online, from non-official sources. You know what I'm talking about.
Advancing pages is done by either swiping bad credit loans forward, like in iBooks, or hitting the forward button, and is quite smooth. Going backward a page, however, causes the app to reload the image from scratch every time, causing a weird second or two delay. It also auto-detects two page layouts and automatically switches to landscape view, which saves you the brain processing time of figuring out that things are sideways and manually flipping the iPad.
Overall though, the experience is pretty good, making up for the iPad's size shortcomings with clever zoom and smooth scrolling. The best way to read is to turn off size-to-fit and scroll a little bit on each page, then flip to the next. But the teal UI really needs to be redone to something more presentable.

Best iPad Comic Reader: Comic Zeal vs. Comic Reader Mobi

Comic Zeal

The UI here is a lot more polished and iPad-like than Comic Reader Mobi, and the app comes in at only $8. You still transfer comics to the app via iTunes, but strangely, Comic Zeal has to do some processing once you fire up the app. It took around 3-4 minutes to process 7 comics I dumped in, whereas CRM processed it instantly. Strange.
Unlike CRM, Comic Zeal doesn't auto-detect two-page layouts, and it doesn't have the ability to zoom into text bubbles independently. Overall though, the presentation is nicer and the UI isn't awful. Swiping is strangely awkward, with the page chunking when you swipe, and if you don't swipe really far, it just pops back into place on the current page. The next page button works better in this app.

The size problem

The big issue with all these comic readers is that the 10-inch iPad screen actually isn't quite big enough to comfortably read comic book dialogue bubbles off of. If it were only 20% larger, things would be fine. In "fit to screen" mode, Comic Reader Mobi addresses this issue by allowing you to tap on dialogue bubbles and instantly get a magnifying glass effect over the text. This is genius, and works really, really well.
But you can also view comics in their original size, which means you'll have to do a slight bit of scrolling in CRM. So you're getting 80% of the page in one go, then flip down to see the rest. You can't pinch-to-zoom to enlarge the entire page, but if you pinch you can draw a rectangle around the places you want to zoom. You can actually pinch-to-zoom, but for some reason when I do it it makes the page jump awkwardly to the right.
Comic Zeal, on the other hand, allows you to either fit-to-screen or pinch-to-zoom. Fit-to-screen works exactly the same as Comic Reader Mobi, but because Comic Zeal doesn't have the text bubble zoom function, you have to pinch and pan and zoom all the time in order to read the text. Not ideal, and makes the whole experience unsatisfactory.
Marvel and Comixology tackle the problem by introducing the "guided view", which goes one panel at a time, blowing it up to full screen so you can easily see everything. Problem here is that although you can easily read the text, you lose the page formatting and panel flow.

So is the iPad a good comic book reader or not?

Man, if the screen were about 20% bigger, this would be the best comic book reader yet. You wouldn't need to pan, to zoom, to scroll or to pinch. You could just read. But right now, Comic Reader Mobi has the best solution—even if its UI is ugly as Bizarro and costs twice as much.

EA fucking over the buyer, more server shut downs

It’s that time of year again.  When EA says screw you people, I don’t care what you paid for a game we’re shutting the servers down.

Fruit Ninja - Review

Half Brick Studios just released a simple but challenging casual game called Fruit Ninja.
The game is a simple affair that has you swiping unsecured loans at the screen to dismember pieces of fruit that are lobbed in your general direction.
It's a bit of a shooting-gallery type experience but one you are swiping to slice rather than tapping to shoot. You're only allowed to miss 3 pieces of fruit before it's game bad credit loans over -- but beware, slicing a single bomb (thrown up randomly) will result in an instant game over.
In fact, it's so simple, that it's hard to explain the appeal. The overall game is put together quite well, and the swipe mechanism is strangely satisfying. The biggest feature for the game, however, is the quick ramp up in difficulty. It doesn't take long before you are anxiously awaiting the next volley of fruit since it takes a quick reaction time to keep playing. Here's the developer's promotional video:

Gameplay footage starts about 30 seconds into the video. It's simple, fun and best of all challenging. Fruit Ninja also contains Open Feint for global high scores and achievements.

I am alive, now release

I’m excited for “I Am Alive”, the upcoming survival game being made by Ubisoft Shanghai and being released as a download only title this coming March.
For those unfamiliar with the game, “I Am Alive” is a survival game set in a post-apocalyptic world.  But unlike most post apocalyptic games, “I Am Alive” is focusing on the survival aspect and less on gun play.  If “Mad Max is “Fallout 3″ then “I Am Alive” is “The Road.”
In fact, I Am Alive is a story of survival, both in the game and outside of it.  The original developer Darkworks announced the game back in 2008.  As the months went by, however, “I Am Alive” continued to experience frequent delays.  Eventually, Darkworks announced that it would no longer be working due to a “mutual decision” and that the studio had other obligations.  Darkworks also announced that the game would  be finished by Ubisoft Shanghai.   Ubisoft announced that it planned to  release “I Am Alive” between  April 2010 and March 2011. The nearly year long release window came and went without any further news about the game.  Many assumed the game was dead in the water.   This fear escalated in May 2011, when Ubisoft cancelled a number of games that were currently in development.
Then, in June 2011, is was announced that “I Am Alive” was not one of the titles being cancelled. A rumor began to circle that the game could see a release in late 2011.  On unsecured loans September 29, 2011, a new trailer for the game aired with a release date of “this winter” flashing at the end of the trailer.  Again, “I Am Alive” missed its release date.
Recently, on January 23, in fact, the developers announced that the game would be available on March 7, 2012, giving the game a solid release date for the first time in its development.
So after much surviving of its own, “I Am Alive” is bad credit loans almost ready to let its players survive in its broken world.
If you are interested in information about “I Am Alive” and it’s game play, the video below is for you.

EA is Making Army of Four

rumour-ea-working-on-army-of-four-uses-battlefield-3-engine

In the latest in a series of leaks over the past week or so unsecured loans  in the run-up to GDC, Stargate Atlantis star Joe Flanigan appears to have accidentally revealed the existence of Army of Four, Eurogamer is reporting bad credit loans.
“Just signed on to do the new AO4 video game for Electronic Arts. Some splinter from Battlefield,” reads the tweet in question. (He corrected his minor mix up in a later tweet – Army of Four has nothing to do with Battlefield as far as anyone is aware.)
Rumours towards the end of last year claimed that the full sequel to Army of Two and Army of Two: The 40th Day was in development at EA Montreal in DICE’s Frostbite 2 engine, with assistance from some DICE staff (hence the perceived Battlefield connection). Predictably enough, it is alleged to feature

EA pulls out of Game :P

UPDATE: GAME has issued a statement to Eurogamer in response to the retailer’s decision not to stock Mass Effect 3, blaming it on a “supply issue”.
“We currently have a supply issue with regards to Mass Effect 3, which means that GAME and gamestation will not be able to fulfil orders for Mass Effect 3 at this time. We want to give customers as much notice about this as possible and provide them with a range of options ahead of launch.
“We appreciate that this is disappointing for our customers, and we apologise sincerely for the inconvenience that this will cause. We value the loyalty of our customers very highly and as a gesture of goodwill we are providing the following:
  • Customers who have pre-ordered in store, will have the opportunity to add £5 worth of Reward points to their card if they visit us from today through to 16 March 2012.
  • Customers who have placed a deposit for the title will receive refund as well as the £5 worth of Reward points between 1 and 16 March 2012.
  • Customers who have pre-ordered online, will be provided with an online voucher to the value of £5 to be spent on any purchase on our sites.
Eurogamer was told by GAME staff that customers will receive their refunds in store credit, not cash.
ORIGINAL STORY: GAME Group will not be stocking any EA games past SSX in March, including Mass Effect 3, Eurogamer has discovered. This encompasses all GAME and Gamestation stores.
Various GAME and Gamestation staff alerted Eurogamer to this situation after a company-wide memo was sent out at around 10.30am this morning.
Eurogamer has secured an image of this memo, which also reveals that FIFA Street 3, Tiger Woods 13 and Sims 3 Showtime will also not be stocked by GAME Group.
Eurogamer has corroborated this information with individual GAME Group stores. The last stocked EA game will be SSX, we were told.
If you have a pre-order, GAME will refund you bad credit loans via in-store credit, rather than with cash.
EA responded to Eurogamer’s request for comment by directing us to a Mass Effect 3 Launch Update website. GAME’s absence from the list of retailers speaks volumes.
This worrying text followed: “For customers who have pre-ordered the N7 Collector’s Edition please re-order your copies through these retailers.”
These are Amazon, Play, Zavvi and ShopTo.
“For further information regarding the Mass Effect 3 Standard Edition with the N7 Warfare Gear in-game weapons pack, please check this page later today,” the blurb continued.
“If you have placed a deposit for a pre-order or are uncertain that your existing pre-order will be guaranteed, please contact your local retailer.”unsecured loans
“Your local retailer is doing everything possible to make this process as smooth as possible to ensure you get your copy on launch day.”
HMV told Eurogamer it couldn’t comment on a competitor’s situation, but confirmed it would be stocking Mass Effect 3 and the rest of EA’s titles.
GAME Group hasn’t responded to Eurogamer’s request for comment.

Game will not stock everything

GAME: "We Can't Stock Absolutely Everything"
GAME's marketing director Anna-Marie Mason has spoken out about the big purple retailer's recent troubles, playing down some of the recent stock issues, and unsecured loans suggesting that "there's no one specific reason" regarding the lack of stock for certain niche titles. "
There isn't one specific catch-all reason," she continued. "We do endeavour to give our customers the widest possible range, whether it's GAME, Gamestation, online or in-store." bad credit loans

This all comes after GAME announced yesterday that it wouldn't be stocking Ubisoft's launch line-up for the Playstation Vita, having also cancelled pre-orders for the Special Edition of The Last Story just days before release.
"Part of our success as a business and part of our success with customers is we have the widest possible range we can bring to market. With Tekken, that was a very difficult decision that our business didn't have that title. But with regards to the Ubisoft titles, that is one moment in time," said Mason. "It doesn't mean to say we won't have that title or that part of our proposition on an on-going basis.
"We can't stock absolutely everything. That's just not possible."
Gamers might well ask the question why, after all if one of the most prominent specialist retailers in the country can't offer stock of mid-range and niche titles, who will?
"You can see, there's a finite amount of space in a store," Mason explained. "The same applies in a rational way to our online business. There isn't a definitive reason why we haven't been able to stock those two things most recently. But that may well change."
She was adamant that this was simply a blip, though, and stated unequivocally that "the instances we've had in the last couple of weeks are absolutely the exception, not the rule", going on to ask gamers not to lose faith in the company and pledging that pre-order fulfilment would "absolutely" be guaranteed for the games they are currently selling.
When asked by Eurogamer if GAME felt under threat from online retailers able to lower their prices without fear of huge physical overheads, Mason suggested that GAME offered something those retailers couldn't.
"It's well documented. In a marketplace like video games, there will always be somebody that's selling the game cheaper. That's not what we're about. We've never tried to be, or never wanted to operate like that.
"What our customers get from us, whether they shop with GAME or Gamestation, is more than a sterile transaction. They get the opportunity to transact with us in the way they want and they get added value. Our customers will vote with their feet.
"We still have two-and-a-half million people coming into our stores every week. Hopefully we've got something right."
Our thoughts on the matter have been rather clear, and we rather think that GAME could be doing more to provide value to physical customers.

Gotham City Impostors review.

Wow, two things jump out here: levelling and unlocks are not the reason many FPS titles are so popular nowadays, and if mimicry is the sincerest form of flattery then the guys at Monolith really, really love themselves some TF2. Bats vs Jokerz in 6v6 comedy deathmatches is the simple way to sum this up then, although everything from the attitude and style to weapons and teamplay tactics come straight from the plate of Valve's free to play masterpiece.
Gotham City Impostors
So, to start, a couple of positives: GCI is fun. It won't be challenging other titles for massive chunks of your time at any point, but for a quick half-hour here and there, it's great. Based around an idea of vigilantes and hooligans taking cues from Batman and the Joker and duking it out across the streets of Gotham with home made weapons and gadgets, GCI runs a huge levelling system (over 500 ranks, for Pete's sake, although really its 100 with five levels of "prestige") with bucketloads of unlocks and customisation options to put it on a par with the big boys. It's also very funny, with charm oozing out of every map, character and soundbite.
Gotham City Impostors

But, unfortunately, from there it starts to unravel a bit - GCI ships with a paltry 5 levels, across which three gametypes (team deathmatch, capture the flag, domination) can be played. Also, the majority of the unlockables and extras make little difference to core gameplay, with the exception of the odd overpowered weapon. And because of this, it all wears a bit too thin a bit too quickly - throw in some really crappy server issues, login bugs and horribly long load times (it takes around three minutes from firing up the game to get into a match) and I can't see a lot of players sticking around.
GCI isn't bad, just too little too soon

Gotham City Impostors
Which is a shame, as the potential here is huge, but it just feels rushed out of the door - there's just a lack of enough to do, and on top of this day one sees a load of small scale payable extras on sale. I just wanted to scream "Can I have the rest of the game before you flog me stuff?"

At it's core, GCI could be brilliant, and at times is - there's a lot of fun to be had with zipping around the maps on rollerskates with a rocket launcher, or grappling the upper levels with a sniper rifle. If you can get a few mates together all the better, as tactical character selections and a bit of communication make this a lot of fun, and more accessible than many FPS titles out there. But for all the unlocks, the actual core game is stale too fast, and Monolith need to have a good deal of free expansions and upgrades on the near horizon to warrant a purchase. bad credit loans
Gotham City Impostors

I'll leave you with this - this game as-is is 12 quid for 5 levels, three gameplay modes, and a bit of humour. You'll find TF2 as part of the Orange Box for a tenner online (or free on Steam if you have a PC), unsecured loans and with four other full games (three Half-Life titles and the original Portal), as well as loads of levels, unlocks and more, you'd be far better off with the original master of team combat. GCI isn't bad, just too little too soon, and hopefully a good bit of support could dredge this back into being something really worthy of the Batman moniker.

Megaupload is now megadown...

megaupload
Popular file sharing site MegaUpload has been shut down by federal authorities today who executed an indictment against the company and its founder. The indictment claims that the site was responsible for $500 million in losses to copyright holders due to music and movie piracy. Kim Dotcom, founder of MegaUpload maintains that his company has obeyed all due diligence requirements in regards to piracy unsecured loans issues.
For those who have not used MegaUpload, it’s a service that allows its users to upload files that would be too large to send in an email for temporary hosting. The user can then distribute a link to recipients so they can download the files. While this is a totally legitimate practice, MegaUpload was also being used by pirates to upload movies, TV shows, and albums for free distribution. Added to this fact is the issue that MegaUpload has two membership tiers, free and premium. The company collected fees from premium members in exchange for faster download speeds and longer storage times. Because the company got paid for hosting and distributing pirated content, it was open to indictment for piracy charges as well.
Founded in 2005, MegaUpload has been an interesting site to watch bad credit loans in relation to the ongoing global debate about online piracy. Dotcom has been working feverishly to maintain that his company and business is legitimate due to the amount of legal traffic happening on MegaUpload. Going so far as to leveraging endorsements from artists like Alicia Keys who was a victim of piracy on his site, Dotcom knew that MegaUpload was facing trouble but looking to put a good face on the issue.
Although the company was incorporated in Honk Kong, it holds servers in Virginia, giving the US the needed jurisdiction to perform the seizure.
Coming just one day after many sites around the globe shut down to protest the SOPA and PIPA bills that are being deliberated in the US Senate, the timing of the raid is interesting. More on this story as it breaks.

chainsaw lollipop yummy

About a year ago, Warner Bros came to me and asked me if I wanted to be involved with a video game, Lollipop Chainsaw, being developed by the great Goichi Suda AKA Suda51 and unsecured loans Grasshopper.  They showed me some test footage of the chainsaw-wielding high school cheerleader and I was blown away by its mix of graphic violence, fun, and glittery goodness.  Right away I signed on, and helped them to develop a story, dialogue, and characters with James Gunn style and humor while keeping that Suda51/Grasshopper no-holds-barred edge.
Lollipop Chainsaw is the story of young, beautiful zombie-killer Juliet Starling, her sidekick disembodied-head boyfriend, and the entire Starling family of zombie killers as they team up to stop a colossal zombie outbreak. Leading the zombies are a group of zombie rock and roll lords who do battle with Juliet. bad credit loans The game is complete madness, and I love it.  Lollipop Chainsaw will be here in the U.S. on XBox and PS3 within the next year.
What did I do?  I was involved with crafting the story, and helping to create the characters, and writing the dialogue – this was not only stuff that affects the English translation of the game, but the heart of the game itself – so yes, the Japanese version has my imprint on it as well.  I also worked with the American actors and voice artists to create the characters.
Also, I’ll let you know a little secret that hasn’t come out in any of the press releases… but many of the the folks who you see regularly in my films and other projects also have roles to play in Lollipop Chainsaw. I’ll just leave you with that little tease for the moment, but it’s something that made the project even more fun.

Everyone involved – Warners, Grasshopper, and Suda51 have been a joy to work with – it’s been a great process, and I myself can’t wait to play the final result.

ScreenShot_18-50-02

Facebook, 1/6 of the worlds population

According to an article from Techcrunch Facebook says they will serve 1 billion “Like’s” over the course of the first 24 hours that this new feature is available.  Facebook is allowing an website to integrate with Facebook so that users can see what their friends “liked” on a site like ESPN, CNN, Pandora, or IMDB.
For example, when I listen to Pandora now in my broswer every time a new song comes on I get a message about which one of my friends “likes” this artist.  This is currently pulling from the “Interests” section of their profiles.  It’s somewhat interesting to see what my friends musical tastes are – especially at a time when unsecured loans I’m thinking about music and am engaged in listening to a song.
I think this concept is great, and I’ll be excited to see more sites implement the tools that Facebook is providing.  What I have a problem with though is that Facebook says it will serve 1 Billion “Like’s” in the first 24 hours.  That’s a pretty huge number, and I just don’t see how you can convincingly claim that anything would happen a billion times on the first day it’s available.  You just can’t expect users to completely understand it right away and start using it the way you expect.
Even with huge partners like ESPN, CNN, Yelp, etc it would be difficult to get to a billion in one day.
Take a look at Compete.com’s data for some of the big partners that Facebook is brining on at launch.  These are all massive sites, but they still only reach a combined 75 million visitors per month.  That’s really only 2-3 million per day.  If only half the visitors used any kind of new “Like” button – that would mean each user would need to do so 1,000 times…in 1 day.
Looking at the math from another way – Facebook has about 400 million users.  Let’s say 200 million of them are actually on Facebook at some point today.  Every single one of those users would need to “Like” 5 different things…in one day.
I’d love to see the actual statistics on how this goes for Facebook.  I’m sure it will bad credit loans eventually be a huge development for the web I think the 1 Billion “Like’s” in one day is a little bit unrealistic for now.
Although I haven’t seen the Facebook integration on ESPN yet, I did my part by hitting the like button on a few new songs in Pandora.  So far that’s the only site involved that I use regularly and would actually contribute anything meaningful.

"The game will now be released in March," Konami confirmed unsecured loans. Retailers, however, have pegged a more specific date for the bad credit loans title.
GameSpot noticed that a number of retailers, including GameFly have attached a March 6th release date to the title.
The port is being handled by Hi Jinx Studios and will be available on both PS3 and Xbox 360. Oddly, the Collection will not feature Silent Hill and Silent Hill 4: The Room.
